I took a chance and purchased this dehumidifier based on all of the 4 and 5 star reviews. Unfortunately I should have listened to the 1 and 2 star reviews. I placed it in a small bedroom in my RV and closed the door. It did not remove even 1% of the humidity in the room after 48 hours. It¡¯s getting 2 stars due to the ease of operation, the almost nonexistent noise and its streamlined appearance. I¡¯m glad I gave it a try but I¡¯m back to a damp square one.

Update; since this does nothing for the humidity in my boat I put it inside the icebox. The icebox was turned off. The fan of the unit stopped working and the unit started overheating. All the items in the icebox have swelled up/exploded everywhere. This thing is a fire hazard. All the items in there was HOT to the touch. Luckily I left the lid of the icebox slightly open.

It leaks
Twombat –
Pulls only a limited amount of water from the air but compact form factor and reliable. Company has fantastic customer service.
Michael –
Definitely does NOT pull 27 oz per day, maybe 27 oz per week. Very quiet.
JuJu –
Do not waste your money. I bought this for a small travel trailer and I live in a very humid environment. This dehumidifier barely takes any water out of the air. Well, at least I never had to empty it:/
Customer –
Ran this for 12 hours and it did not collect a single drop of water from our humid basement. Chose a different model and within an hour had collected nearly a liter of water. This did not work as advertised. Not worth the time/money.
User1 –
This may work in a northern climate where you want to help reduce moisture further, but in a Southern climate with high humidity this thing failed to remove any measurable amount of moisture. It was returned
Angie Scopano –
I bought 2, one for each RV. I dump it about every 2 days. We are going to get a hose to make it constant drain into sink. Perfect size, not loud, does give off a small amount of heat. Great little dehumidifier for RV.
Tommy –
Removes 1 teaspoon of water per day, and did not ship with drain hose as advertised. Not what they claim, and not what I expected. This think is a joke.
tiffany –
I couldn’t find a way to email about my return. My label was printed and shipped on Saturday, 6/27/20, and it isn’t showing that anywhere on my return status.
This thing was 70$, and I’m sure it’s a great little dehumidifier, it just wasn’t powerful enough for what I needed… all I want is my refund.

We purchased this device to put in our RV because we have been experiencing a lot of mold/mildew problems. In just a week¡¯s time it has already pulled out quite a bit of water. We haven¡¯t had it long enough to see if it is effective enough to do what we need it to. We will come back and add to the review once we give it a good run.
Customer –
Unit is quiet but doesn¡¯t pull moisture out of the air very fast. Almost to the point of not functional.

Could use a Longer cord is only issue at all

We use this dehumidifier on our sailboat, which often sits unattended for weeks at a time. I place it on the galley counter and run a drain hose to the sink when we leave. When we come back to the boat, the reservoir is full and the hose has water in it, so I know the dehumidifier has been doing its job. More importantly, we no longer find mold spots on the headliner or upholstery, and we no longer have the typical “boat smell” that used to hit us when we opened the cabin door for the first time.

Purchased this humidifier for a small room in the basement. RH ~ 60%. Ran for 12 hours and had less than an Oz of water in reservoir. I have a temp and humidity sensor in room and the RH never dropped at all with this unit. Immediately sent back. This unit doesn¡¯t seem to work in the scenario in which I needed it to.

I bought this to remove humidity in the bathroom of my small apartment. I usually let it run all day long. It is very quiet since it uses a peltier instead of a compressor. It does not remove nearly as much water as a larger compressor based unit, however it is much smaller and quieter which suits a small apartment much better.

Works well. Easy to empty. Attractive.

I really liked this product great value and work perfectly non stop

We have a small cabin boat and this does not pull any moisture out of the air. The first one we tried I thought was broken, but when we replaced it we had the same issues. It was running while in heated storage and the Damprid baggs filled up just fine but this didn’t collect one drop of liquid in its reservoir.

It doesn’t appear to be working. The device looks nice, but after several days only a few drops at most. I have done everything I could think of to make sure I am not jumping to conclusions, however it simply doesn’t work. It is an extremely simple design and therefore it appears to be a malfunction of some basic type. Oh well, I plan to return the item. This will be the very first item I will return of all the hundreds of items I have purchased via – and with the pandemic I hope things work out smoothly as I need it to be as simple of a process as possible. I’ll update this review later.

I live in Austin TX next to a creek. The apartment is on a basement level with a sliding door and one small window. I don¡¯t get a lot of air circulation from it since I don¡¯t open because of bugs. The studio is 399 sq ft and it has an open layout. Without the dehumidifier the humidity level is normally 50% so far, I assume it will only get worse in the next few months. The dehumidifier is compact, easy to use, and fairly quiet with a bright blue light. I¡¯ve had it plugged in running continuously since April 27. In the first 72 hours it collected 16 ounces of water and it has done so every 3-5 days. A user suggested I purchase a humidifier meter and tested it out in different parts of my studio. Overall, it reduces between 1-3% when it¡¯s on. I keep my AC at 74-76 degrees at all times. I had it on for a few days straight and it lowered to 48% humidity. I turned it off for 24 hours and it was between 50% to 52%. Honestly I just don¡¯t think it makes much of a difference. It¡¯s been almost a month and I¡¯ve never seen it lower than 48% even when I put it in my small bathroom or closet, it never lowers! What bothers me the most is the damp smell. Whenever I leave the apartment, I get used to the beautiful Austin spring breeze and as soon as I walk back into my apartment it feels like a swamp. I ordered a slightly bigger more expensive dehumidifier that will hopefully lower it to 30%.

Worked fine for a couple of weeks, until the dog knocked it over. Never worked again. Tried having it replaced, sent it back to the company in the original box. They send me back the same machine, and didn’t even bother to fix it (I marked the machine before I sent it back). Lousy company, worse product. If I could, I’d give it -5 stars.
David –
Works, but not powerfull enough compared to my other 200$ dehumidifier. But its ok for a small room. 12¡Á10. Depending on application.
Very quiet, whisper like.
R.K. –
No issues for 3 months. Works great in our 28′ travel trailer. Update – have had for a while now; still works great and DOES shut off when full, thankfully.

Didn¡¯t work for very long, three months..

I put this in my basement Gun Room to keep the humidity down drain water out of it every two weeks work great took care of my problem
Jordan l. –
This item took very little humidity out of the air. When the reservoir finally filled, it did not auto shut off as it is supposed to and leaked on our wood floors damaging them. I WOULD NOT recommend this product! Go with an old fashioned dehumidifier with a compressor is you want the job done right.
Maracucho –
It does work … Getting humidity out of my boat cabin .. I have another dehumidifier in a separate area of my boat (head) and this unit is at the galley …this unit still getting humidity out of the environment. In a week almost got the tank full .. I connected the drain line (not included) to it and I just forget about the humidity, Great product … I may buy another one.
Thanks

Product does not work as expected. I bought 2 brands to do a side by side comparison. This one and a Sevon. The Sevon canister I have to empty every week, the will run for 3-4 weeks and only have a 1/4 tank of water in it. is not worth the money.
Jack M Coletti –
I got this unit to reduce the humidity in my bedroom due to a mini-split ac unit which causes high humidity (because it’s overpowered for the space). Running this unit does reduce the humidity by about 5% to 7% (according to my cheap humidity gauge) when the AC unit is also running.
The fan noise is quite noticeable, but understandable with a fan inside a light plastic case. By strategically locating the unit – maybe with some sound dampening panels, the noise could be minimized.
The first significant design flaw (imo) is that the drain hose attaches to the top of the water reservoir – which means there is always a full container of water sitting in it as an invitation for slime and mold to grow. I get why they did it – so they wouldn’t have a hole in the bottom of the tank inviting potential leaks – but I think they could have engineered a better solution.
My biggest complaint about the unit is the powerful blue light that shines from the front and back of the unit. Not a problem during the day, but if you have the unit in a bedroom at night it is very disturbing to restful sleep. Blue light, in particular is is very disruptive to sleep and this thing shines like a supernova. The first thing I did was cover the front and back panels with tape – which stops most (but not all) of the light. Unfortunately, this also means that I can’t see the water level in the reservoir. Blue lights do make things look cool and modern, but the health drawbacks seem to far outweigh the aesthetic value.
Overall, I give it 3 stars. It works as well as can be expected for a small unit with minimal power. It’s a little noisy, but a stronger unit would be much louder. The design flaws are a bummer, but a creative person could find workarounds.

Perfect product for the recreational vehicle. Keeps humidity down and low energy cost.
Aida –
Bought it for the boat and it worked perfectly
Jeff –
It¡¯s quiet, it¡¯s small, it¡¯s foolproof (plug in and turn on) it just does not pull out much water. It takes 3-4 days to fill up the reservoir. Measuring humidity the room is still at 60% humidity and this barely pulls out any moisture.
sgunden –
Right sized for our coach. Purchased a 2 foot long vinyl drain tube for the few times needed.
Larry P. –
This thing does an amazing job in my travel trailer. This is a must have for any RV owner.
Chris –
I placed the unit in our RV to help keep the humidity down over the winter. Temperatures have been in the low 40’s, the moisture being pulled in through the air intake keeps freezing over the filter and I have to bring in the house to defrost. Will be returning it soon.
Will E. W. –
should STOP selling this item. First one didn’t even turn on. Second one ran for 24 hours during torrential rain and not a drop of water was extracted from the air. What a total bomb and waste. DO NOT BUY!
carl phillips –
it is very quiet and said to removes up to 27oz a day… Accumulated total of 5 ounces in a week. Friend loaned us their SMALL 25.00 Seavon and it accumulated 11oz in same time frame!… Know is still moisture in air al have water on inside of park model windows and have cooked nothing or had hot water running except for showers and dishes…Plan to return for full refund. also got extended warrantee which understand comes thru so surely they will reimburse us for that cost too…or am done with online buying from faceless companies…
Brian –
I wanted a small dehumidifier for our RV. This one is quiet and easily fits in the sink while traveling. It’s not fast at removing moisture, but I like the size, noise level and power consumption.
Linda –
Put in our garage to lower humidity and it is working wonderful. It has lowered the humidity considerably. It runs fairly quiet and shuts off when the reservoir is full which is a great feature.
Customer –
If you want to use this dehumidifier using the constant drain, you’ll be a little disappointed. The drain hole is located high up on the tank, so the tank needs to be close to full for the drain to ever kick in. This means that if you place this in a hard to reach area, like a basement, you have a constant pool of water sitting there, with no turnover. I imagine this could lead to some scummy water eventually (I don’t know the long term effects of this, as I installed it 2 weeks before selling my house!)
S Smith –
Bought this to help minimize humidity in our RV. Seems to be working as described.
Debbie Bliss –
Wish it was quieter but other than that it was great
Ashlee –
I have a humidity gauge that I use because we live in FL. This was great in the way that it definitely pulls the moisture out of the air and dropped the humidity in my bedroom from 63% to 49%.
However, the auto shut off doesn’t work at all so cleaning the water up all over my floor has damaged my floor. So no auto shut off like it says and it just spills out.
Jeffery & Carolyn Stephenson –
Crap. Quiet but useless.
Wayne L. –
All good so far
N. Rogers –
Works as advertised. Warms a small space a little bit too, which is an added bonus. I like that you can connect a drain tube to the reservoir for continuous use.
